Ctx started up shortly after I posted... they're still farish apart, especially if I lie down, but they're getting stronger.

It's so hard to relax! I've been listening to my hypnobabies birthing scripts all morning... I wish I could sleep, but I don't think it's going to happen.

how long did it take for you? with my first, my water didn't break until i was pushing, so this is a bit new for me!

i was a bit freaked out when it happened because i was woken from a half-sleep state, thinking at first that i was peeing the bed... and then when I realized what was going on I was like, "ah! am i going to be pushing soon?!!"

but it seems to be going slow, which is ok with me. i'm resting and comfortable so far... ctx are about medium strength when they come, but still far apart.

Mine "started" with water breaking too. I only had some mild crampyness for 12 hours. The ctx were far apart. I think it would have taken more than a day to start in earnest. The MW gave mean herbal tincture to take q 30 minutes at 12 hours ROM. It worked. I sorta wish I had just refused all vaginal exams and rested until things started.
I know it's exciting and you're anxious. . .but it can take time. Go about your day in a chilled out restful way if you can. . .
That's what I wish people told me.

It will start at some point

I don't remember where you are birthing, but in hospitals and such the "clock" starts with water breaking and folks can get nervous (my SIL ended up with a c-section this way - not to say that you will!!!)

If labor is slow, and even slower when you lay down and such, you might choose to help it along if needed -- walking & nipple simulation being great ways to keep it going (I did lots of both because I stalled out for several hours with ds)

Sending you so many beautiful labor and birth vibes!!
