Hi there,
I'm considering the name Ramona for a girl. I'm a big Ramona Quimby fan, my mom's name is Ramona, and it means "protector" which is very significant to us as buddhists. My buddhist name given by the lama means "protector" and I'd like to pass on this kind of wish for my daughter to be a strong female who protects her loved ones.

BTW, we don't know we are having a girl....we just think it may be. We have the boy name pretty much decided.

Here's the dilemna. What middle name for Ramona?? Everything I normally like sounds country when put with Ramona. Like Ramona Jane. I don't want the name to come across as old fashioned, but more updated and hip. Something thats more unique and flashy or crunchy. Am I making any sense?

Give me your thoughts!
Those are great suggestions! I'm not very good at coming up with middle names. DH and I decided to use my family name as our dc's middle names . . . therefore eliminating the need to come up with 2 names we liked for both gender possibilities! It's nice to have my family name included in each child's name and not get into hyphenating.

Good luck!

And, by the way, I love Ramona! What a great name.
