I'm 27 weeks with my second and I'm having some pain that I'm not even sure how to describe. I know it isn't anything to worry about, but I'm just wondering what it is because I don't remember having it with Noah.

I guess you'd call it my pelvis, but really low like where it's covered by pubic hair. It's sore all the time now but much more so when I get up from sitting or after getting out of bed.

Any thoughts? Like I said, I'm not worried that it's something bad and it isn't even all that painful, but I was just wondering if anybody knew what was causing it.

Thanks!

Where exactly do you feel it? Is it achey, crampy, stabbing?

If it's a vertical line right in the middle of your pubic bone it would be the ligament that attaches the two sides of your pubic bone. It can hurt when it stretches. That one's pretty common.

it's achey all around that area. not just in a vertical line though, more like sore throughout that pubic region. though actually now that i press on it, it is more sore in a vertical line in the middle.

I have it too, and it is a bummer. I find that it's worse after sitting for a long time sewing, and then getting up to walk around. Laying down doesn't hurt at all. I broke my tailbone skateboarding when I was a kid, so I always have that pain in the arse, but the front side only hurts me when I'm pg. I've not tried chiropractic care, just because my insurance never covered it, and I don't have ins. now. There is a name for it, and it's very normal and pretty common

Yep, another sufferer here too. Anyone else look bizarre when you first try to walk after sitting for a while. It's like your hips don't want to actually rotate in the joints. (sigh one more way to make you waddle!)

Chrissy that does sound like PSD. Which can also effect the round ligament. Lots of fun.
I had it only in the 2 weeks with my DD, for about 2 months with my DS and it started at about 17 weeks with this pregnancy.
Gets worse with each pregnancy it seems.

I haven't tried Chiro (I'm in the same boat as Terri, insurance issues). Sitting on my birthing ball helps and alternating hot and cold packs helps (nice at night!). If I know I'm going to have to do a lot of walking, I wear my belly belt.

I'm going to take a prenatal yoga class, I'm hoping that will help a little bit. And the instructor does massage too... might have to get one of those.

I have it too, probably aggrevated by my current activity related obsession...softball. It is achey and sore for a few days after I play, then subsides. I anticipate that it will get worse as my pregancy goes on. I have a new thread in TAO asking if there is any sort of brace or support available to help eleviate the pain.

I will check that website too...maybe they will have some thoughts...
