OMG, they change every night when dh and I lay in bed talking......
let's see what were we talking about last night???

Oh, well for a girl we like Dylan or Ryan ( my middle name)
and for a boy its Kolby or Shayne so far....

nothing set in stone AT ALL.......for ds we picked Olivia and Parker like at 8 weeks and that was it! We called the baby OP ( pronounced Opie like the ron howard character) for the entire pregnancy and family and friends even addressed gifts to OP!!

If it's a boy, his name will be Ben after dh's deceased father. We haven't decided on a middle name yet.

Undecided on a girl name, but I like Jane.

Sorry to double post, but I forgot to say...
Heather, I LOVE the name Olivia. I would pick that and not look back if we didn't have an Olivia in my dd's class. Her mom and I are friends and I would feel way too much like a copy cat. They call her Liv most of the time. I love it.
Her little sister's name is Lillian and I like that too.

Tracie (who would be willing to move out of town to get to use the name Olivia)

I have my heart set on Kathryn Brooks if a girl (generations of women in my dad's fam have middle name brooks) and Ian Maurice if boy. I am hoping for a boy. (I really want four, two of each, and since I have ds, I would like his bro to be close enough in age that they will be friends.) Dh agrees to girl name--it is left from first preg. But is very resistive to boy name. I like Ian because it is the Scottish version of John and there are a ton of Johns in my dad's fam, including dad, whom I am very close to. I don't want to actually use John though, because both bil are named John! Add my dad in the mix and it could be messy. Dh doesn't object to Maurice as it is a family name on both sides. SO I told dh if he doesn't want this baby named Ian, he had better either hope its a girl or spend the next nine months coming up with something really good:LOL

Our girl's name is Aurora Grace, but we will call her Rory.

Our boy's name is left over from pg with dd. It is Declan Hart. Hart is a family name on DH's side. I am not as sold on Declan as I was 3 years ago, but DH still loves it. I love the name Alec, and think it goes great with DH's Scottish last name, but he just doesn't like it. He also vetoed Emmett and I vetoed Elliot (Although that was long ago. Now it goes without saying that we cannot have and Ellie and an Elliot!)

For a girl I also love Ada. Ada Katherine was in the running when dd was cooking.

Dd's name is Elizabeth Virginia. She is named after both maternal grandmothers. Virginia is also Dh's sister's name and my mom's middle name so it worked out really well. We actually picked Ellie out before Elizabeth, but were happy that we could have both!

Well the girl name we've had since I was pregnant with my last DS - although honestly I'm not sure I'm still in love with it so we might rethink! (DH still really likes it I think though) the name is Skye Elizabeth.

For a boy's name we have NO ideas!!!! We had a really hard time picking one and agreeing last time so I'm expecting months more of name fun

Girls names are so much easier to pick for us......so far our girl pick is:
Lauren Isabelle

Our boy pick for last time was Nolan Joshua, but I don't like Joshua any more, and I don't know if we'll stick with Nolan or not. We talked about Parker for a boy yesterday, but it might be too trendy for me because I like more classic names. We are both somewhat German
so I looked up German boys names and came up with Jaegar Orlando, which is cool, but I don't know about it now!

I really want to name it after my grandomthers names if it's a girl Viola Elizabeth. We haven't even talked about a boys name. I'd like to incoroprate my great grandfathers name Henning but dh doesn't like it so much. My Grandfathers names are Cornelius and John I don't paticularly like those names. SO who knows. I love liam and Patrick

I haven't given any thought to them, this post was probably the first time I really considered the question! The only reason we have a tentative girl's name is because it's leftover from my last pregnancy

My kids haven't given me thier list

We had a number of names we were tossing about the last time, and none of them were the ones we ended up using. Davey didn't get named until the day after he was born, and his name came to us in our sleep. He's definitely a David....so I think we'll probably wait and find out what name fits the baby we end up with

It must be a twin thing, because I haven't even considered them either! :LOL We had a boy and a girl, last time, so there were our two names! Now we're really going to have to
to get creative!

By the way, I looove all the names everyone has picked. Beautiful names and family ties - how perfect.

ps. HelloKitty, I named my dd a family name (that I had wanted to use since oh I don't know, I was about EIGHT!) two weeks after my neighbor and friend picked the same name for her dd! I figured, screw it! I love this name!! I have no regrets!!

We're TTC, and names are really important to me. I have strict guidelines that a name has to fit into. For instance, I LOVE the name Emily, but since it's the number 2 most popular name in the US...it's out. As a matter of fact, I won't consider anything in the top 100. So no Olivia or Ashley either. For me a name has to be classic, but not tired, gender-specific, not popular but still doable (no Hortense!) and can't start with the same letter as any of my other children's names. Also if the initials spell a word (my son is ASK) it has to be a positive word. No alternate spellings (in my own case, Brandee, or Brandie or Brandi). Also, my daughter is Rose, so no other botanical names...and my son is Addison...so no 'Jackson' or 'Harrison' or anything else with a 'son' at the end. I don't know where these rules come from but for some reason naming feels like serious work to me....perhaps becasue I dislike my own name so much. My top boy name right now is Sawyer, and my top girl name for now is Maya.
PS, please don't feel offended if you like Ashely, Olivia, Emily or even Brandy...I'm the weird one here, and I know it

Brandy,
I understand. I'm very reluctant to use an extremely popular name. We are still planning on using our boy name that we picked out the first time around, which is Jasper Benjamin. My parents loathe it, but oh well. The top three girl names right now are Hazel, Irina, and Isobel. The middle name will be something Jewish/Hebrew. My daughter's name is Melanie Rivkah, so we would like to continue with the Hebrew middle name. I'm pulling for Ruth, Esther, Naomi, or Leah. Dh is dead set against Ruth, unsure about the others. My parents also hate the name Hazel. I told them, "You want to name a baby, have your own!"
