Nap question

How do you get your little one to take a good nap if you are constantly having to run around in the car doing stuff? My 5yo goes to afternoon preschool and picking him up at 4pm 3 days a week and 3pm 2 days a week ends up right in the middle of my little one's nap. He also has gymnastics one day from 4-5. She ends up overtired from not getting enough rest. Dh keeps suggesting that I hire someone to pick him up and play with him for an hour or so each afternoon so that baby and I can both get a good nap but I just don't trust just anyone to drive him. I'm able to sometimes carpool with one Mom at his 3 day a week school but I don't know anyone from the other school. Switching to morning school isn't an option cause it starts at 8:30 and we are barely waking up at that time (there's also a waiting list of people wanting to switch to mornings).

TIA for any ideas!!

If DH says you could hire someone to go get him and you aren't comfy with that... could you hire someone to watch the sleeping baby while you go pick him up?
Wow I'm so tired the simplest ideas are the furthest from my brain. That did not even occur to me. Thanks!
How old's your little one? will they sleep in the car? if so, maybe plan on leaving early and just driving around a bit to get them down, and leave them sleeping in the carseat till they wake up (if it's an infant seat that you can cary with you)

She's 8 months and has already outgrown her infant seat so I have to take her in and out of the big Britax now. She'll sleep in the car but always wakes when I get her out. Occasionally I can park right up front of one of the schools where I can see the car from his classroon (very small building, parking lot right outside the door to his room) so I'll leave her sleeping for the short time I'm in there. There's also always moms that I know in the parking lot coming in and out of school so I feel safe there. The other school I'm parked on the street and have to go upstairs- no way I'd leave her in the car there.
