nak...DD's family day care was closed today, and dh and I split our work days, so I left at 11:30, and he went to work at 12:30. (I'm working part time until dd starts at the campus child care and comes to work with me!
) Anyway, on the way home I was listening to Dr. Joy Brown, and she announced it was National Leave the Office Early Day. And it just happened to be what I did.

So is anybody with me? Come on, shut down your computer and head on home....

Well I'm glad you're there, and older dd's teachers are at work. Hooray for teachers!
The only people missing me are the very needy professors who can't seem to manage the fax machine.

Hey, some of us can manage the fax.

I have a meeting at 3:00, does that count as leaving the office early. I have to make a couple of stops in between. It is beautiful day here, so I wouldn't mind taking off a bit early.

I'll bet you're very kind to the office manager/assistant, so yes, take off early! It's the ones who aren't needy who can let their "crises" wait til morning, and will go out and enjoy the first bit of sunshine we've had since April.

I'll add a hooray for nurses, too! If I had finished nursing school, I probably would not be taking off early. I knew there were more than a few good reasons not to finish....

So, dh brought the kids into town to have lunch with me and dd1 promptly threw up all over him the minute we got into the restaurant! He worked last night and didn't feel up to caring for both an infant and a sick 4yo, so I got to leave work early, too!

:LOL Funny how these things happen, isn't it? dd1 is sleeping now, so I may get to go outside later; it's beautiful here today too! After almost a month solid of crappy weather.

Though I did end up having to bring something home to type up *sigh*. Still better than being in the office.
