Argh! This term drives me crazy! I'm trying to keep dairy and soy out of my diet for the benefit of my 4 week old DS, but this label isn't making it easy!!
:

'Natural Flavoring' is in EVERYTHING! Does anyone know of safe mayonaise, bread crumbs or KETCHUP?! I really don't have the time to make this stuff myself.

Why are companies allowed to write such a generic listing on their labels - I just don't get it.

I was just reading an allergy newsletter that addressed this problem. They said sometime in 2006 the labling would get better??? You can call the manufatures of the products in question and find out what their "natural flavoring" is.

I just gave up on most packaged foods because of that. My boys are allergic to eggs and nut and the lables are just to confusing. I thought we would really miss all those things, but we don't. By going to mostly whole foods it has helped us track down some hard to find intollerences also.
