Hello!

I'm new to the board. I was just wondering if anyone has any info on natrual parenting groups/playgroups in Sacramento that meet or have activities on the weekend. I work, so I can't joing mid-day groups during the work week. I'm raising my kids in my home, so it's not like they get to enteract with kids at daycare. I live in the Natomas Park area.

I could also use some info about natural parenting/playgroups in Santa Barbara. My husband and I are teachers. We grew up there, and spend most of our summers there. For the groups in SB, it wouldn't matter when they met. I will be staying on the Mesa.

Thanks for the help!

Hi Lisa! I'm in Ventura County, and I'm in an AP moms group with a couple members in SB, plus another mom who gets up that way frequently and was raised there. Since you spend much of your summers in the area, you'd be more than welcome to join the VCAPMoms group (link in sig) and come play with us! Also, my 6yo ds will be attending a daytime wilderness camp for the two middle weeks of July near SB, so I will be spending a great lot of time up there myself those days. Would be great to hook up! I also have a 3yo ds. I'm not sufficiently familiar with SB to know where the Mesa is.

Yeah the mothers support network is a great AP group, we are starting to have family events one Saturday a month, we are having a great group picnic on the 25th of June, there is info on the website under family picnic. Like Regina said we have a working moms group where kids are welcome. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I hope it's ok we decided to meet at Rocky Nook park because we have spent so much time at La Mesa this past week since we drop and pick up our older kids there for camp. We will be there from 11-2:30 Thursday July 21. If anyone can only go earlier we can be there at 10. Let me know and PM if you want my cell. Hope i can meet some of you!

There are no pictures of the playground but it is nice and great for little ones. There is a creek to splash in and a little walk for the adventuresome ones. Lots of shade and rocks my two year old likes to climb.

I look forward to meeting all y'all Santa Barbara mamas! I've really been enjoying spending time in SB and seeing more of all the neat places it has to offer. Hope Thursday works out for a bunch of you
