Tea with Fennel and/or caraway seeds can really help for some kids. Also, softly massaging their bellies and backs can release the pain.

Gripe water has been used for generations. You can also try cooled down chamomile tea (after you've steeped it). Chamomile is safe for babies, and it's not a true tea, there's no caffiene.

Gripe water contains fennel and ginger extracts. Ginger has long been known to settle the digestive system. I know gripe water is available through online drugstores. Maybe others can say where they've found it locally.

A long-standing "cure" in my family has been bay leaf tea - lots of bay leaves simmered in a pot of water. It works for adults as well as children. I don't recall anyone using it for an infant in my family - but, that may just be my failing memory. Anyone else with an Italian grandmother want to chime in on using bay leaf tea for an infant?
