I suspect a bronchial infection...

I know vit c...but is there anything else I can do? I'm pg so I need to be mindful of that. I'm miserable though. I can't breathe and I'm coughing up a lot of nasty stuff and it has that icky infection taste, KWIM?

I'm so sorry, I do know what you're talking about icky.

How much Vit C are you taking? May people I know take up to 5,000 mg. a day. My kids take about 3,000 mg. a day for their allergies. Diarrhea is the sign that you've reached you limit, should this happen, do not discontinue it, but drop down the dose.

Here's some information on how Vit C works on the immune system.

My doctor also turned us on to white tea for strengthening the immune system. It's higher in antioxidants then any other type of tea. Our favorites are the plain one from Trader Joe's, Republic of Teas with orange blossom and Long Life Organic White Tea. One glass has actually stopped an allergic reaction in me and calmed an asthma attack in my daughter.

The next thing would be a good vitamin and mineral supplement. You want one that's high in minerals, mineral balance is key in keeping the immune system healthy.

If you're looking for relief and believe in homeopathy, Spongia Tosta is great for mucous cough and Chamomilla works very well on the pressure that builds behind the ears.

Many hugs mamma, I hope you start to feel better soon.

That is really helpful Jacque! Thank you. I need to increase my vit c. I'll try the white tea, I had not heard that. I'm doing prenatals...I dont' know what their mineral content is though, I'll have to check. The Spongia Tosta sounds good, my cough is mucousy still.
