Is this even possible? My worst times seem to be right before dinner ( guess the stretch from lunch is too long) but also then it is often horrible AFTER I eat a big dinner. This week I've felt like I can barely keep my dinner down, need to take lots of deep breaths, and usually end up crawling into bed to try to sleep it away. Does this happen to anyone else? Strangely I'm fine most of the daytime.

Yes! This time, the nausea is worse at night for me too. I can feel ok all day -- nauseous, but able to keep some food and drink down -- and then BAM! Right aroud 5 or 6PM every evening, I start feeling awful and puke at least once. I am starting to dread the evenings.

I also find myself going to bed early just to sleep it off. I cannot wait for the 1st trimester to end.

Same here! I haven't puked yet, but came extremely close one evening.

It was the same way for me the first time around, but that time I had the luxury of sitting on the couch every night and whining to my DH about how crappy I felt. This time I'm so busy trying to get DS fed dinner, diaper bag packed for next day, and then ready for bed that I don't have much time to feel bad for myself. I am soooo ready for the end of the first trimester!

I also have evening sickness. I'm totally fine all day, and then NOTHING sounds good for dinner, and I feel gross. Although honestly it hasn't been too bad, so I feel lucky. And it's nice to feel good pretty much all day even if 5pm - 8pm every evening I feel nasty. My mw suggested snacking in the afternoon to make sure I don't get too hungry. I tried it but it didn't really help. Like clockwork, I start feeling icky at 5pm.

DDCC from June but my all day nausea definitely hit a peak in the evenings. Yuck. I have found eating a small dinner helps, my big meal is lunch. Plus unisom, B6, Milk Thistle supplements and an EARLY bedtime (like 6:30pm was regular for all of November) helped to reduce it a lot.

Mine is worse at night. Nothing I do helps that at all. It's miserable. Cheese & crackers or buttered toast make me feel better than anything else does, but it doesn't make it go away. Sweets make it worse. I don't vomit much during pregnancy, although I have the urge to. I just don't want to deal with the aftermath, so I hold it down as much as I can.

I have always been the worst at night. It seems to me that my lunch never gets fully digested (although I feel my best after I eat lunch) and turns sour. Dinner added to it will usually send me for a hug of the toilet bowl!

Same here! It's crazy bad, and I have just been skipping dinner, passing out for the night around 6:00 and waking up to either puke or scarf some nuts that I keep by my bed. This is my fourth pregnancy and the only time I have had morning sickness so I don't really understand what the deal is. I do like going to bed early though.

I start feeling sick usually around 3 in the afternoon, and it lasts until 8 or later. I had about ten days where I didn't feel sick at all, and I thought I was in the clear. Then it started up again this week. Grrrr. I'm with the rest of you ladies, and eagerly awaiting the next trimester!

COunt me in too, especially several weeks ago, late afternoon time, time to cook dinner would feel the worst. And sometimes, I've even had middle of the night sickness! Not fair! Anyhow, totally feeling you late afternoon mamas, I'm with you!

BTW, I spent some time researching homeopathic remedies for my pattern of nausea, and Pulsatilla was the remedy that came up, but I never tried because my nausea felt significantly better, but if anyone is inclined to try, you could give it a go. It's easily available at a health food or supplement store. Get a 30C dose vial. Hope that helps someone!

My nausea is much worse at night. I call it evening sickness. I think it has to do with being tired.

My evening nausea finally abated for the most part although comes back periodically. The tip to eat small dinners was helpful though, I did well on creamy tomato soup.

I'm 11w and I feel like mine is getting worse too. The last few days, I've been dry heaving at night. Ugh, sometimes I wish I would just go ahead and throw up in the hopes that it will actually make me feel better. I don't feel great in the mornings when I wake up but it's much more tolerable than it is at night. I'm hoping it goes away in the next month.
