reminder for any Mothering members in Northeastern Ohio! This Friday (June 11th) at 2pm. meet and greet, learn about, try out, kids play, yummy snacks, lots of diapers, slings, pouches, ABC style(are those what the soft back carriers are called?) back carriers, clothes, and fun.

the first diaper party was such a success, and so much fun, we are doing it again, and this time expanding to lots of different local WAHM's with all their wares!

pm me for directions/more info!

hope to see you soon! lol (meaning I hope he gets the job)

take care

lol sorry. Honestly Cleveland would suit me climate wise much better then Columbus. I despise the weather here I miss real winters so much. Thanks for the good luck we need it. Cleveland sounds especially good since we would no longer be 5 minutes from the inlaws!

Yay!
We had fun! Mel, what was that back carrier you had Veronica in? I never got a chance to ask you; too much going on!

Is your house wrecked?
I wish we could have stayed to help, but we had to get to a dinner with family. (Yes, after I totally pigged out on all the awesome food....I parked my pregnant butt right in front of the food table. :LOL)

oh, Lucysmama...thanks so much! I am glad you were able to come out, what a turnout, huh!?! there must of been 40-50 people with all the kids included

I didnt get a chance to talk about my stuff since I was hosting! that was a soft back carrier (like a Kozy or Packababy), so handy...but there will be another party soon at jenny's, so I can cart my wares there and demonstrate better! I was glad to help some newer sling users wear their baby's! what a great opportunity....

I really wanted to chit chat more with you, too.....especially about the town you live in (we have been looking at the area to move to)

were you able to find any Newborn dipes? did you check out some of Melissa's? they are awesome...

Thanks for coming, I LOVED the phunkymama and kiwi pie covers!
but this is babywearing not dipe forum :LOL, so I am glad you liked the back carrier! I should of gave you one to try out with Lucy...oh well, next time

I guess I don't have to worry about hijacking the thread since nobody else is using it...:LOL

Yeah, I bought 2 of Melissa's newborn diapers and 2 pads. I wanted to get more, but I forgot to go to the ATM on my way. Oops. I am hoping she will make me some more.

When is the party at Jenny's?

We
Peninsula. It is an awesome area, I never wanna live anywhere in NE Ohio again! We are right in the park, so much green and wildlife. It is just so lush and beautiful down here. The whole Peninsula/Boston and into Brecksville Reservation area is great. Rents are pretty reasonable. We pay $875 for a 3-bedroom house with a nice yard. To buy a house is more difficult around here, cause they rarely go on the market in Peninsula. And when they do, they are usually $$$. (I think there is only one right now for sale, and it is $350,000.
) There is a great rental with a huge yard that dh and I just looked at - available for the past few months.

I had to sneak a peek at your stash, too...since it was right on the door, and all...hee hee.
You have some great stuff, too! And I LOVE how your changing station was built into the wall! How freakin cool is that?!?!

Feel free to PM me about whatever!

we saw one house that was gorgeous and it was 219,000 way out of our range, but it was a BIG nice house, and we want a little dumpy house....we would even live in a trailer to get into that area! we LOVE the woods, and want Veronica to grow up there. we looked at other areas, but they are so flat. dh likes the rolling land. we went to the pancake breakfast at the hostile about a month or so ago, thats when we were driving around, looking at houses and stuff.

my covers and aio's are hanging in the shoe thingie on the door (if you had gone through the drawers you would of seen the liners, doublers, prefolds and fitteds
) there was no room anywhere, nd they just stayed in abasket that I tripped over too many times, and I had a shoe organizer over the back of the kitchen door for cloth napkins, aprons, scrubbers, and towels, so I got another one and it works perfect for storing the covers and snappis and such

its so hard to organize a stash :LOL

I didn't look through your drawers, I promise! :LOL My stash is in a basket, but I trip over it, too. And dd always rifles through it and drags all the diapers all over the house, putting them on her dolls and trying to put them on our puppy's head. I'm looking into getting a chest of drawers or something.

Ok, now that you mention it....there IS a dumpy little house for sale right downtown, like 200 feet from the towpath. It's white and looks kinda small-ish. It just went on the market recently. I'm sure it could be cuter with some TLC. I have no idea what they are asking for it, but I can drive by and get the # for you if you want!
