She has found compassionate communication to be an amazing consciousness in her parenting, personal and professional relationships, as well as with her Self. Amy and Rusty have 8 years of combined experience in learning, practicing, integrating and sharing NVC, both are on the certification track with the Center for Nonviolent Communication. Their individual paths to NVC are very different (Amy via parenting, Rusty via prison), yet have brought them both to a shared place of compassion, empathic connection with others, mindfulness and desire to create community in which the feelings and needs of all are valued.
