Presented by Amy Bean LPTA, LMT and NAP's Director. Amy has been exploring gentle parenting and Nonviolent CommunicationSM (NVC) for three years. She has found compassionate communication to be an amazing consciousness in her parenting, personal and professional relationships, as well as with her Self. A variety of ideas in Amy's parenting "toolbox" contribute to balance and joy within her role as mama, woman and partner in parenting.

A weekend introduction to Nonviolent CommunicationSM

Co-Facilitators: Rusty Thomas - CORE Team Member of Freedom Project
Amy Bean - Director of Northwest Attachment Parenting

Amy and Rusty have 8 years of combined experience in learning, practicing, integrating and sharing NVC, both are on the certification track with the Center for Nonviolent Communication. Their individual paths to NVC are very different (Amy via parenting, Rusty via prison), yet have brought them both to a shared place of compassion, empathic connection with others, mindfulness and desire to create community in which the feelings and needs of all are valued.
