I need a ped who is open minded we don't vax and we home school. My current ped was fine with the no vax but is flipping his lid over the home schooling. So we are changing peds effective now!

Thanks for your help ladies!

I don't have any suggestions for a ped up there, but would you mind sharing who your current ped is? I am about to have a baby any day (a week overdue) and am going with Dr. Barker at East Aurora Peds, but would love to have a backup if she isn't okay with the no vaxing (though I have heard she is...)

We go to Tonawanda Pediatrics and see Dr. Evelyn Hurvitz. We just saw her today for dd#2's 2 month visit, and she was okay with us not vaxing (she said she doesn't like it, but she didn't try to sway us at all, even the nurse kept quiet and just said "Okay!". We really like Dr. Hurvitz - she's wonderful with our children, very friendly, and although she doesn't agree with our crunchy ways she's open to them.
I'm not sure about the homeschooling; try calling them: 691-3400. They have an office located in Tonwanda and one on Transit in Clarence (I believe Clarence...see their website, tonawandapediatrics.com). Good luck!!

We haven't gone yet, but I'm thinking of trying Sheridan Pediatrics.

I love Buffalo Peds (locations on N. Forest and in the city). Dr. Robert Kaplan is my favorite and very supportive of non-vaxing and EBF.
