So I'd really like to attend a 2-day women's retreat this coming October, but I don't know what to do about DD, who will be 12 months by then. Thus far she's refused all BM that doesn't come straight from the tap. Should I go ahead and leave expressed breast milk and bottles for DH, or should I try to wean her by then? I need help!! WWYD?

I personally couldn't leave my baby at 12 months. I just couldn't handle that, but that's me. Anyway, you are really vested in going to this retreat I'd leave milk for your DD. I would not wean. Babies are supposed to get mama's milk for the first 2 years of their lives.

Well if she won't take expressed BM I would defenitely NOT leave her with DH. I couldn't imagine leaving my baby with anyone if he/she won't take a bottle. I couldn't leave my baby anyways...but you didn't ask about that. I also wouldn't wean, as PP said, babies need mama milk for at least 2 years. Is there someone who can come with you to the womans retreat and you can go feed baby when she is hungry?
