O.K.
So I know i am prob just being paranoid but-
DD (2 yrs. about 27 lbs)ate a whole bottle of the hylands homeopathic teething tablets about 4 hours ago and i know that you cant really overdose on homeopathics- right?!
But she was kind of floppy and fell asleep way before her usual bedtime though she has been feeling yucky lately- had a major fever monday and into tuesday....
The bottle has the usual "in case of overdose call your poison control center immediately....." Is that just for precaution or for real?
PLEASE someone tell me shes just wiped out- chamomille kicks my butt-
Or should i really be concerned?

I would call to be on the safe side. Keep us posted.

I had a friend whose son ate almost a bottle full, but he was bigger than your child.

I think I can set your mind at ease, because this very thing happened to us about a month ago with my 2.5 year old daughter. She weighs a bit more than yours, a little over 30 pounds. She ate a whole bottle of Hylands and we called poison control. They said since it is homeopathic that there was nothing to worry about. Just to be safe, they said they would call us back in an hour and see how she is doing. They did call us back and she was fine.

We watched her closely and didn't notice any difference in her behavior at all. Not sleepy, not irritable, not feverish, nothing. I posted on another message board I go to and the women there said the most they could imagine she would get would be a sugar high. But she didn't even have that.

Hylands site said it is hard to OD on them, they give a 800 number to talk to a nurse.

Phew!!
Thanks for all your help Mamas!

I did call the Hylands # and got a call from their rep. who said that she would be fine and that a child would have to ingest 6 bottles before any ill affects
I'll just cherish this unusually early bedtime and look forward to an early rise!
Ah, one of the great things about homeopathy . . . a dose is a dose whether one pill or fifty.
Tummy, homeopathic amounts of ingredients are so miniscule they can't even be found in lab tests (well, I think at 6X there's still a very small amount left, but it'sreally a very minute amount). 6X means that one drop of tincure has been placed in 10 drops of alcohol, shaken, then one drop of that mixture in 10 drops, shaken, and so on until it's been done 6 times. It is an energy-based medicine
