Last week DD complained that it hurt to pee. We took her to the ped. the next day and he tested her urine and it showed no infection and then he looked and said she looked fine. She didn't complain after we'd been to the ped at all.<br><br>
Now, one week later she is again complaining that it hurts to pee. I just checked her over and she is a little red down there (her labia & in between). There is also a slight odor of the non-normal variety. If it matters, she also has labial adhesions.<br><br>
Anyhow, does this sound like a UTI? Or does the odor mean something else like maybe a yeast infection? I'm really at a loss and I'm afraid the doctor will prescribe abx as a precaution when I take her in again.

It may be some kind of infection. Probably abnormal odor and labial adhesions are caused by vaginal discharge, this is not normal. It would be better to take her to ped again and get tested. Abx may be really needed.<br><br>
In my childhood my mom used warm bathes with soda when I got vaginal itch or reddening. It may be helpful for mild infection and it won’t do any harm.<br><br>

Yes it might be UTI,need a urine check for this diagnosis. Just rember antibiotics will be mentioned for UTI. Antibiotics cause UTI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<br>
