Hi! I have a bad case of strep throat and I can not swallow. The only thing I have really eaten since wednesday is yogurt or yogurt smoothies. I'm getting sick of yogurt but other then chicken soup does anyone have any yummy ideas on some good high protein foods that I can swallow????

Thank you so much!

How about a tofu pudding? Or rice pudding made with soymilk/soy protein powder? My other thought is bean soup -- make (or buy) a black bean soup, or white bean, and puree it so it's nice and smooth.

Hope you feel better and get back to real food soon!

When I had my tonsils out, my mom made me mashed potatoes and hamburger gravy..........ate that for like a week straight, couldn't eat it again for MONTHS afterward.

My friend's husband makes the BEST soups though......if she calls me today, I'll have to ask her for recipes, partly because they're in ARIZONA and *I* miss dinner at their house LOL. One's got lamb and potatoes, tomato paste, cilantro I think. the potatoes are the best.....just leave 'em whole and let it cook all day, they soak in the flavor and about fall apart. The other one I remember has chicken and cloves and orzo.....the chicken just falls apart..........SO GOOD....'
plus I need stuff I can just throw in my crock pot and not heat up my house......and it'd be good and NOT fattening

I'll post later if she calls me like she said she was going to.
