Can I use a jar of spagetti sauce (prego) and a pound of ground beef and put it in the crock pot? Can I add the noodles to it?

How long do I cook etc?

Thank you, I am new to this crock pot stuff!

I would do the noodles separately. They can leave crockpot sauces really starchy. For my sauce, I brown the meat (it does make a difference) and toss in the crockpot with a jar of Classico (love that stuff!), some fresh mushrooms, a splash or red wine and I usually finely shred some carrots in there (they sort of melt into the sauce.) Sometimes I add some pepper, red pepper flakes, etc. Doesn't matter how long you cook - 2 hours or 6

yeah, definitely cook the noodles separately, drain, THEN add them to the sauce.
Probably too late, but I've seen a recipe that you put dry noodles in, but the base sauce had tomato juice in it. The extra liquid helped. I think this was it:
http://www.30daygourmet.com/eNewslet..._spaghetti.asp
