I am not usually very picky about baby clothes but I would like to get ds a cute outfit for his upcoming portraits. nothing I'm finding in the stores seems suitable though. any ideas for cute boy clothes that don't cost a fortune?<br><br>

I love the stuff from places like Jack & Janie but simply cannot justify $30+ for a sweater he'll wear a handful of times. So, I have started buying 2nd hand clothes off of Ebay. You can find adorable clothing on there for great prices! I recommend looking at the auctions on there...

Just a pair of Osk Kosh overalls with no shirt look absolutely adorable on little boys in pictures. I got my sons at Costco for $10.99. But even if you wound up paying full price for them, it's not bad since they'll go with practically every shirt your son owns, and you can get them big, roll them up on the bottom and sinch up the starps and let them out as he gets taller.

I love <a href="http://www.hannaandersson.com/home.asp" target="_blank">Hanna Andersson</a>. I always check out the sale section. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up"> And the resale value is awesome too.

I second the ebay suggestion. You can get things NWT (new with tags) in all sorts of name brands for cheap. Tommy Hilfiger, Hanna Andersson, Ralph Lauren, Gymboree all make really adorable boy stuff.<br>
I like the snuggly baby look for as long as possible. But maybe that's because my babies end up in 12-18 mo clothes by the time they are 5 months old and nothing is cute and snuggly anymore but the styles make them look more like miniature people.

Gymboree -- I am a Gymbo addict! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin"> -- but do check out their sale racks, many of the boys' lines are discounted right now and the prices become a lot more reasonable when that happens!<br><br>
I love their one-piece outfits, but they do have cute little jeans and shirts if that's more what you're looking for.
