I haven't posted here in quite a while. My dd is almost 6 and has Kabuki Syndrome. I hung out here a lot when she was younger and this forum was a great source of support. I am hoping you all can help me out again. I am a lactation consultant and I will be speaking at a LLL conference this summer. I have a passion for helping mothers & babies with special needs to breastfeed. I would love it if some of you might share some photos of your little ones with special needs, especially if you have any breastfeeding photos. Photos of pumping are good too because direct breastfeeding doesn't always happen, and often doesn't happen without lots of hard work. I would also welcome photos of mamas with their special babies, breastfeeding or not. If you would like to share some of your story, that would be great too. Was there someone who offered exceptional support? People who were less than supportive? What do you wish your doctor/nurse/LC, etc. would have said or done (or not said or done!) You can reply here, send me a PM or email me at lactationlady @ gmail . com (remove spaces.)
