Hi all,

I finished knitting my first sweater, it's for my 1 year old daughter.
I decided to use a zipper instead of buttons, but after I finished knitting I discovered I can get zippers that are of length 25 cm, and no less, while the sweater has 21 cm length for the zipper.

Is there anyway to shorten zippers ?

Yep. If it's a seperating zipper, shorten it from the top and sew on new stops (I'd use sturdy nylon thread and sew sturdy bar tacks at the top.) If it's non-seperating, sew a bar tack at the bottom then cut off the bottom.
