Hope this is the right forum. I need some help with my 2.5 y/o little boy. I have 2 toddlers, a 2.5 y/o and a 1.5 y/o. Both are in daycare. I work out of the home full time 8-4 M-F. My husband studies out of the home full time for his PhD. Here is the problem, and it may seem silly but I just don't know what to do about it. Due to being in daycare my boys have constant runny noses and colds. All winter long. It's been that way since they started daycare. Nothing serious, no ear infections, fevers, no asthma or allergies, etc just constant viral runny noses. My 2.5 y/o always has his finger in his nose...I tell him no, get him tissues all the time, but his finger is always up his nose. I am not really in favor of giving him an anithistamine. But I want him to stop. He is in the proess of potty training so we are working on a lot right now and we use time out for disclipline, but I don't really want to use time-out to keep him from rubbing and picking his nose. DH jokingly suggested chili pepper on his fingers. I would love to just not do daycare, since I know that's where they are getting the colds, but that is not really an option for us right now.
