I'm considering getting parallel care w/ Dr. Hardin since I have Hyperemesis Gravidarum. My mw can't prescribe, of course, and I need meds.

Has anyone used Dr. Hardin? Do you like her? Is homebirth going to be an issue w/ her?

Dr. Hardin was my OB when I had my preemie 8/06. While she wasn't there for the emergency c-section, I saw her all through my pregnancy and really loved her. I'm definitely going back to her. She only accepts new OB patients (no new GYN pts) so, if you want in, you need to do it while pregnant.

I'm not sure how she feels about homebirths at all, as that wasn't an option for me at all. She is very strongly opinioned about birthing at Main Methodist Hospital and, after my experience, I'm really glad because it has the best NICU in town and mine had to spend some time there.

I hope this is helpful, I'm new to these boards.

eta: I had an emergency c-section at 32 weeks due to breech baby, I was 10cm dilated and didn't know it when I arrived at L&D and my water broke 10 minutes after arrival.
WOW your c/s experience is much like a friend of mine. With both her pregnancies her water broke at 32 weeks and her girls needed the NICU.

I'm glad to hear positive things about Dr. Hardin. I'm friends w/ her daughter's best friend, so that's why I thought of her.

I'll try to get in there ASAP.

Thanks again!!
