Hi,
I need to replace DS's lunch box. It needs to be microwave-safe, and close tightly. I've heard good things about the bento boxes at http://www.laptoplunches.com/ but they seem a little pricey and I'm wondering if anyone has found something similar for a lower cost. Thanks!

I have laptop lunches and they are not all they are cracked up to be. I had to have two of the boxes replaced because the lids were seperating from the base. The lids for the inserts don't want to close half the time, or open up and make a big mess. I wouldn't spend the money. Can you have a zippered lunch box that is insulated? I would try to find a lead free one of those and then buy little containers to go inside. I have seen lots of little containers around that one could create their own bento.

try looking on ebay for "tupperware lunchbox kit" they are "vintage" and you could end up with some groovy 70's colors, but I like 'em.

I really wish Pyrex would come up with a glass container that is divided.

I'm trying to avoid having lots of little dishes in the hopes that we're less likely to leave something behind if it's just a dish and cover.
