I think I may have a touch of food poisoning. It feels as if there is acid running through my entire abdomen. I can't stand up straight, can hardly walk. I'd like to take something - Pepto or something, at least. Can anyone tell me (or point me in the direction of a place that can) what I can take for this while nursing ds (he's 3... don't know if that makes a difference). Thanks!

You might want to post this in the breastfeeding secton- I'm sure you'll get more/quicker responses there.

In the meantime, here is some help.
Kellymom - is this safe....

Also, more specific.

ETA- I just found this at Kellymom and there is more info available when you follow the second link and look at anti-diarrheals:

** Note: Pepto-Bismol & Kaopectate (bismuth subsalicylate is the active ingredient in both) are not recommended for routine use by nursing moms, due to the association of salicylates with Reyes syndrome in children.
