DD sleeps between DH and I so siderails haven't been an issue, but now with a babe on the way I need one. Our king mattress is really thick and the none of the rails I have will work with it. Where can I buy some at? Our bed is just a mattress on the floor if that makes a difference.

I live 4+ hours from the nearest Babies R Us, I have to say that I haven't been in one in years.
Since this item is only in stores, thank goodness we are making a city trip next month. Thanks so much!!

Does this side rail extend the full length of the bed?

My almost 1-y.o. DS sleeps on our king mattress (also on the floor), and lately has been rolling off of the mattress onto the hardwood floor when he's not between me and DH (I switch him from side to side for nursing during the night).

Does anyone know of any other types of side rails that may extend the full length (or almost the full length) of the bed?

Thanks,
Kristin

In the product details section of that Toys 'R Us bedrail, it says "Bed rail extends to 44 and accommodates mattresses from 4-10." I'm assuming those measurements are in inches. If so, how can it fit a pillowtop mattress? Most deep pocket sheets say they fit mattresses up to 17 inches thick, so 4-10 wouldn't cut it.

i have the bedrail posted above and use it on our king bed, which is thicker then 10 inches.

nope, it is the length of any regular bed rail. i haven't seen any that do. my ds is a mover and a scooter and hasn't gotten below where the bed rail ends. do you have a scooter too?

Thanks for your reply. My DS is a very mobile sleeper, in both his crib and our bed. Usually I wake up when he starts moving, but he's so quick that occasionally he ends up on the floor before I open my eyes! I think a regular length bed rail would suit our purposes.

Has anyone heard of or used the snug-tuck pillow? Apparently you can order a customized "bolster" which sits on the edge of the bed.

We have a snug tuck pillow and a big thick king mattress. It works REALLY well. It's a more expensive option, but well worth it. DS recently moved to his own bed and we're using it there as well.

Try One Step Ahead (catalog or on line). They are long and and the only one I found that was high enough that I didn't feel ds would roll right over.
