Need some advice re: calculating due date.

Help me mamas. I'm at the end of my rope and just need to vent a bit too.
We weren't trying nor were we preventing. I've been nursing dd for 14 1/2 months now and my cycles have been all over the place. I wasn't charting or anything and can't pin point when my last O date was. I've been having a lot of discharge the past 2 weeks and it's been almost a constant thing. I decided to take a test today (2) and the second one has a faint line.
I have no idea how to calculate my estimated date. I am not planning on using an OB and have yet to find a MW. It's been such a hard week and I am a wreck. DH has been out of town since Monday and won't be back until late Saturday. I just feel so overwhelmed and have spent the last two hours in tears. DD is just not sleeping and I'm exhausted. I'm just not sure how I will be able to handle 2 under 2 and my 4yo as well.

I am happy if we are pregnant. I wasn't expecting to get pregnant this early (we wanted to officially start TTC later on this year) if we are. Thanks for letting me vent and any advice on calculating would be deeply appreciated.

I didn't have a LMP before this pregnancy, so we couldn't calculate due date from that. I just sort of guessed, and I figure better to guess less rather than more (so I was actually guessing 5 weeks when it turned out I was closer to 8). If it helps at all, you can consider the time that the test works in (most say on the box, like "works within days of your first missed period (2 weeks pregnant)" because it sounds like you are right on the edge of the test accuracy. For me, I didn't actually have a firm due date until they did ultrasound and gave me one. Up until then, I just went by month. "When are you due?" "Sometime in August."
If the line is faint I would just give yourself an O date of about 2 weeks prior. That would put you at about 4 weeks pregnant, more than enough time to get a sono to determine a more accurate date if necessary.

Congratulations!

I'm so sorry you are having a hard week. No sleep is the pits.

Take it easy and try to rest until your dh gets back.

DD is 15 months and I know those fears! People IRL keep joking that I'm going to have twins and it practically has me in tears. Three under 2? No I hope not!!!

What is the purpose of the DD? If it's really important to you, then you can schedule to get actual measurements w/ an OB. Without any strong reason, I would be inclined to just have an open date.
