DH is getting DS out of my hair on Saturday so I can do some MAJOR spring cleaning (YEA!). I can't do anything while he is here because I no sooner get stuff put away and he drags it back out.

Anyway...

What are some fun things DH and DS can do?

Here is our situation

1) We live in a very small town, the closest mall is over an hour away
2) We got 6 inches of snow on Tuesday, but it's almost all melted, but it's still kind of wet outside
3) It is supposed to be in the upper to mid 40's on Saturday
4) There aren't any gyms or activities to do with a toddler in our area, but there are a couple parks
5) I HAVE to do cleaning this weekend or else it will have to be put off until May or June because we have something going on every weekend for the next 2 months.

Any ideas??

Is there a bakery or coffee shop in town?

It doesn't sound very exciting to me, but my DH and DS often have a great time just going to a coffee shop on saturday mornings. They eat pumpkin bread and people watch.

A car wash is apparently also great fun, though it doesn't take very long.

And don't forget puddle stomping!

I'm interested to see other's ideas

Get a sled and explore the parks or get some boots for everyone to mash around in. It's OK to get wet!

The library? Maybe the children's area for a short time depending on child's age.
