Need some liquid smoke ideas....

Okay I know there's debate about whether or not this is carcinogenic but I have this liquid smoke I bought to make some of Joanne Stepaniks uncheeses. But I don't know what else to do with it?!!? I don't eat tofu or tempeh (soy allergic), I don't eat many beans ( they upset my stomach) and I don't eat anything really spicy like curry (upset IBS again). So what can I do with it? Can I use it in seitan or do I just chuck it on veggies? Oh I also don't eat soup (geesh! It's sounding like I don't eat anything! I promise! I eat stacks!!). Thanks in advance for idea's!

I eat a couple. I like cheesy potato (vegan of course) type soups and I like butternut pumpkin soup but other than that I'm just not a fan for some reason. Oh I used to like split green pea and ham but that one is off the menu these days. I don't know, maybe Mum fed me too much soup when I was little or something
I've found a few sauce recipes, I just wanted something other than a sauce, I don't cook with a lot of sauces other than tomato.

I add a few dashes when I make baked beans. Yum!
I make a sauteed cabbage dish that has some liduid smoke in it.
Just after I posted I thought liduid smoke would taste very good in a homemade veggie burger, I'm going to have to try that soon. Also good in split pea soup.
: I've got some liquid smoke that I'd like to use up too, as I'm trying to clear out the fridge before our move. I've used it in seitan (a little in the actual seitan and a little in the cooking broth). I have also used a little once in the cooking water when I made rice, you could probably try putting it in the cooking water with other grains too and add in some herbs/tomatoes/veggies for a simple side dish.

Off topic, how'd your uncheeses turn out? I've got the Uncheese Cookbook, but I never seem to get around to making anything in there!

as a pp mentioned, the liquid smoke would go nicely in the split pea soup - it gives it the same kind of flavour ham would.

you should try playing around with sauces. they can do wonders for all types of meals.

There's an awesome seitan Pot Roast recipe in Vegan Vittles (JoAnn Stepaniak) that calls for liquid smoke. I use it im my baked beans, too!

Ugh, I lost this thread somehow guys. Sorry!! Thanks for all the idea's. I do have Vegan Vittles so I'll have to take a peek and try the recipe. Seitan is a good idea, as is the split pea soup (anyone got the recipe btw? I only have the meat version
).

Falcon, I made the Gee Whizz spread, it wasn't too bad but used too much onion and garlic for me so I'd probably reduce the amounts and I made a solid block which tasted just like the Gee Whizz spread only it was like pate'. I wasn't real keen. I think I'm more interested in sauces really. Oh and I made some stew with eggplant and white beans but none of us liked that one very much either. I think it had way too much broth and not enough solids. I'll tweak it if I make it again.
