Okay, so another stroller thread but I am going crazy with my strollers (yes plural) and have yet to find the right fit for me. My twins are 10 months old and I have a 3 year old. I own a Zooper Tango (already had a few things break off - would not recommend but is not terrible but can only hold 2 kids) and a Joovy Caboose - the idea was perfect, a stroller for two with the ability for my 3 year old to hop on and off when she would like in either a standing or sitting capacity. The Joovy however, is a pain in the butt to steer with all their weight already (it is simply too long in design) and I can't imagine what the years ahead will be like - I live in an area that now that weather is getting nicer, I will be walking more and more. Anywho, any thoughts or advice - I know from other threads that the MUB is very preferrable, however, no room for a toddler to hop on and off!

Hi there! I know all about the quest for "stroller perfection". It is an ongoing process at our house. We have a city series double jogger for running with two, and a graco duoglider for all three going on errands. It is a double stroller, but DD1 just stands on the footrest for the back seat and holds onto the front seat. She can ride like that for small distances (a mile or less), and since it is only a double, the stroller is not too unwieldy.

Another thing we use is a wagon. We have a step 2 wagon that is highly steerable and has two buckles for the twins on either side. DD1 just sits in between them. This is also nice for trips to the park, since the kids can play together and share snacks on the way. They seem to enjoy riding in the wagon and interacting. The wagon is easy to load and unload too, but it hurts my shoulder to pull them more than a couple of miles in it.

Just some ideas that work for us since all our kids are around the same age
Good luck!

I've said it before and I'll say it again...I LOVE the Valco Twin Trimode with toddlerseat. We use it several times a week. Going on long walks is often the only way I get out of the house with all three kids. My 3 yo feels like a queen in the toddlerseat and my 6 month olds are comfortable and happy in their seats. It's heavy and awkward to lift into my van, but I've found I can fit it in the trunk of my Odyssey without having to take off the wheels (although I do have to take off and breakdown the toddlerseat, which is a pain). I still wouldn't trade it for anything and as long as I keep the tires filled and the wheels lubricated it pushes like a dream. It also fits through standard doorways so I can take it anywhere. Worth the hefty price tag, IMO.

another vote for the Valco Twin Trimode. I spent a lot of time comparing it and the MBUD, but ended up with the Valco. I have a 3.5 yr old son in addition to my 1yr old twins, and I don't have the toddler seat. The Valco has a huge kickplate at the front of it, and my older son just hops on and off when he wants to ride. I had the Joovy Big Caboose for about 2 days, then I saw how long it was, and I took it back.

The Valco is certainly heavy, but I think it's worth it for what you are talking about.
