Wow! I spent a lot of time researching diapers a few years ago, and on/off for a bit after that, but I feel so out of the loop now. My 16 month old is wearing mostly hand-me-down diapers from my 3.5 yo, with the exception of about 6 new-just-for-her Bum Genius 2.0 AIOs that I LOVE.

The big issue is that our nighttime diapers, Wonderoos with Wonderful Hemp inserts, are just done. The hemp inserts literally are shredded and falling apart, the original ones I bought, after 3 years of almost non-stop use. I have like 3 options for nighttime right now- 1 Wonderoos, and 2 FB that I use with 2 MOE inserts.

Should I just buy more of the same, more hemp inserts? The pockets themselves are OK but I know by the time my oldest was finishing using them they (the Wonderoos) were getting pretty snug. My baby is pretty petite though, so I think she'll be OK in them for a while. Is there a pocket diaper you are just LOVING right now that I should check out?

My plan is to get at least 3-4 more sets of nighttime inserts and/or pocket diapers... and then with any $$ I have left splurge on a few more Bum Genius inserts just because they are so darn easy. My stash of fitted have held up pretty well, so I don't see the need to add to them.

Thanks to anyone who replies!

If the absorbency was good I would just buy more of the same brands. Nighttime diapering can be tricky and I hate to waste money experimenting. I like tried and true brands.

(Wonderoos are now called Superstars, in case you didn't know.)

I really like my hemp fitteds with a wool cover. But if you are not wanting to experiment and know what you had before worked great, then stick to that. Not any real reason to switch unless you have to.

Happy Heiny's now has a one-size pocket diaper. I'm not thrilled with the HH inserts - as I love bG one-size inserts too.

I like HH one-size pocket diapers for nighttime better than bG one-size pockets due to the bG tabs wicking when worn for extended periods of time.

A cheap doubling absorbency option is auto microfiber towels. I love them for added nighttime absorbency with little additional bulk.

Good luck!

I've heard that Swaddlebees pocket diapers are really good and lower in price than Fuzzi Bunz and Wonderoos.

For nighttime I swear by Lullaby pocket Dream fitteds. I have a very heavy wetter and these are the only things that worked. http://hyenacart.com/LullabyDiapers/...php?category=1

Plus Katina's customer service is amazing. She doesn't have anything in stock at the moment but email her and she will probably be able to help you out.

I had no idea either. Is that because of them being sued about the name?

I wouldn't recommend swaddlebees for bedtime because of how trim they are.

My DD is a flooder. I have found what works best for us is a prefold (we use toddlers for our toddler, or two infant PFs) stuffed inside a happy heiny pocket.

I would stick with the BUmgenius 2,0 s. WE use the 1+2's for nightime as well. We load the with the larger size HempBabies prefold known as bIgger weeds right now he on the med setting. When he was on the smaller setting we used the little weeds one or two. But he was changed more often.. I have never had a leak and ds is in the diaper at least 10 hours. Sometimes 12. He is a really heavy sleeper and a heavy wetter. Hope you find what works for you.

Seconding Lullaby Dream Fitteds with wool! Only leaks I've had have seemed to be with FBs or other pockets. Other good nighttime fitteds are DreamEze and Little Beetles with doublers. HTH!
