okay, I was in the prodromal labor club and had been for a week and half or so. but, Friday night my son had a seizure (he is okay) took him to the er, did a CT scan, all that, while in the hospital i told the baby i wasn't ready for her right now, please wait for a bit and have had *maybe* 8-10 ctx in the days since then. but, it looks like DS will have to have surgery and prob this week or early next week (just ear tubes, not a major surgery but still, my baby is having surgery) so now, instead of wanting this baby to come out i need this baby to stay IN for at least the next 9ish days. she will be much easier to handle thru DS' surgery in my belly as opposed to out. so, anyone have any ideas? My next OB apt is wednesday and he had said he was going to check me then but i am going to refuse, i know even just a dilation check can irritate the cervix and start thins up, i told DH no more sex (i think he was relieved ) any other ideas?

Just try not to do too much, which I'm sure you already know. But, I can't think of much else that will help babe decide to stay in. Do the opposite of whatever kicks up you ctx. Good luck with DS' surgery.

So sorry to hear about your baby having surgery. That is never easy on a mother. The timing is awful but hopefully everything will go well and they can get your ds in quick.

No advice here either, just keeping my fingers crossed for ya!!:

I went through the same emotions recently. Totally ready to get this babe out, then DH was suddenly hospitalized and we found out his pancreas all but up and quit. Quick switch to wanting this babe to stay put for as long as possible. Thankfully, we're adjusting and I'm getting back to feeling like I can handle a baby.

I can't even imagine if it was one of my "babies" even for something rather simple. That's hard! Hang in there!!

I think talking with your babe and resting are about all you can do to keep baking! Good luck!
