Nerrrrrrvous --- update

I have an appointment with my OB this afternoon and I'm planning on asking her about my bc options. It's been YEARS since I've taken anything hormonal and we decided against a vasectomy since we aren't sure whether or not we're "done" having children.

Any advice? I tend to be a pushover once I'm in the exam room and will take a doc's advice just because I don't want to argue. I know for sure I don't want an IUD b/c I don't want anything invasive, but I'm afraid of what a mini-pill will do to me mentally. NFP, I'm sure, won't go over well with a traditional OB, so what else is there?

Diaphragm, cervical cap, condoms...

Big List of Options.

It should be noted that you can combine FAM/NFP with condoms and such to increase their effectiveness. Knowing when you are most fertile lets you know when you need to be more careful about using a condom, maybe even using two methods when you're approaching ovulation.

We have done this for the past 2.5yrs, and its been working.

Well, my OB looked at me like I was loony when I mentioned NFP, but I told her I have a big support system (in the form of MDC,
) so I think we'll be alright. Now I just need to buy myself The Book & do some reading...

You can do it! It's a shame more docs aren't as ecucated about NFP. We don't need the drug companies suffering, right. I love the kind of almost primal connection you start having with how your body works.
