<span>Hello! I am new to mothering.com and I thought I would introduce myself. I am a 20 year old and I have been married for 1.5 years. My husband is in the Air Force and we are stationed at Scott Air Force Base in IL. We don't have any plans for children, just yet. Of course, sometime in the future we want children. The reason I am here is because I want to educate myself before I even plan on children. I want to be a 'ready' mommy (well as much as I can be) before I have a baby of my own. Just out of curiousity, am I the only one around here without children or who isn't pregnant?</span> <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

NO, you are not the only one...I started reading MOthering Magazine when it was a hippie rag of a magazine in 1976 I became a wife in 1977 and a mom in 1980...so,...<br><br>
before there was ever an internet... well....<br><br>

I now have four homeborn children, bf, cd, homeschooled, nonvaxed children, and three are grown now!<br><br>
You can do it also....my old friend was Dr. Robert Mendelsohn from IL, so <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/reading.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="reading"> read all the time...it is worth it.
