Well, this has been a long, LOOOOONG road but i have about a week left to be a citizen of Russia.
August 18 I am officially becoming a citizen of the United States. I am so emotional about the whole thing. Like of course I am happy and yet at the same time I am saying goodbye to something...

Anyway this means that I will have the right to bring my mom and dad here. Something they have been waiting for for years. They have never met Sofie (she is turning 4 next week) and I have not seen them for more than 7 years
: and we are very close.
And besides just being plain excited about it, what am I going most crazy about?-my mom's cooking!!!!!
There are simply no words to describe how good it is!

Its hard to imagine...my Mom will finally meet my children.

thanks!!!

actually, we were separated long before the birth of my daughter...

i am not sure how long it will take for them to be able to finally be here, but i know it will be months. but thats ok, we have waited a long time...at least now its closer to reality than just being a dream.

That is so exciting that you will be able to see your Mom and Dad again! And how wonderful for them to meet Sophie! So, what is your favorite dish that you hope your Mom cooks? I was in Russia about 15 years ago and remember the food was yummy!

Congratulations! I've heard that it is a long road, but that once it's over, it's well worth it. I hope it doesn't take too long for you to be able to have your parents over here. Amazing! ~hugs~

You guys are so sweet!!!

I cant pick one favorite dish my mom cooks. They are just all amazing.

She makes pirogie out of dough and inside they have either potato with mushrooms or rice+egg+green onions these things are addictive beyond words.
She also makes this chicken in walnut sauce-again no words to describe this goodness!
Hmm and also this flat bread, almost like a pie but its bread with cheese and potato inside.
She also makes amazing cakes from scratch, the Napoleon is my favorite!
