Hi everyone. We are starting the Montgomery County Chapter of the Holistic Moms Network. Our open house is Jan 25 at 7:00pm at the Rockville Library, 2nd floor meeting room. 21 Maryland Ave. We are excited about our new chapter and if you live in the area hope you will attend or tell your friends who may be interested.

this sounds great! unfortunately, i have class tuesday nights (and otherwise don't get out much around bedtime). i would love to get more info though, especially if this won't be the standard meeting time.

I am very excited to attend this - I just had a baby though, so I am not sure when I can get myself organized, so please keep me updated so I can attend next months meeting.

Great news! Unfortunately, I also have plans for that night (I'm taking my mom to a concert for her BD) and will not be able to attend the Open House. But I'm interested in more info and next meetings planned.

Thank you!

I'm glad you all are interested. I'm excited. We will be holding monthly meetings on the 4th Tuesday at 7:00 at the Rockville Library. The calendar of events is located on the our website: http://montgomeryctymd.holisticmoms.org/ We will be adding to our calendar as we get things scheduled, which we are still in the middle of, so the only thing on there so far is the Open House. If there is a lot of interest by people that cannot make the Tuesday time, we will consider changing the monthly meeting to a time that will work better for the majority. I also just want to state that children are always welcome to all of our meeting.

Thanks Marissa for posting! I am one of the other leaders and I just wanted to bump this up. Yes, children (and dads/grandparents) are welcome. I have been to plenty of meetings with sleeping or going to sleep babies. Because it was once a month, I used to take my little one and get him ready for sleep at the meeting and he would pass out on the way home.

As we get more members, we can add more activities. Other groups have formed weekday playgroups, Moms Night Out, Craft/Chat nights, etc. We can make this what we want, so definitely let us know if you can not make it and why. We will see what we can do.

In the group I was a member of in CA, we had lots of people that were members that could not make the monthly meetings, but would join us for other activities. Our local email yahoo group was very active and that definitely was a bonus for those who could not make meetings.

Hope to see some of you in January! Lillymonster, I will be bringing a 5 week old. It will be our first evening out, so we will have to see how it goes. I am feeling brave :)
