It initially strikes me as an OK place for ideas, but be careful because it seems to be set up in a syllabus style; not with the idea of following the child.

I like the one by World Wide Montessori (<a href="http://www.amontessorimarketplace.com/teachertraining.html" target="_blank">http://www.amontessorimarketplace.co...rtraining.html</a>). I'm currently taking her 12 month training course, and it comes with all of the albums (practical life, sensoral, physical science, zoology, astronomy, math, etc.). So far, I've been very happy with it. I paid in advance, and she let me download all of the albums within the first couple weeks of class, so I can work ahead with Jocelyn if I want. Reading over the albums, it seems like it's very similar to what my DS did (he actually attended a montessori school, so we have the advantage of having a kid in montessori school to compare with the homeschool stuff. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">: )

It looks like a good resource. The whole point is that you can't have a syllabus or schedule of set things quite like that. Definitely try those ideas and lessons (I haven't looked at it too much...just saying what I initially thought when I saw it.)

When I looked at it, I was surprised at how much of a 'syllabus' it had - it seemed way too much of 'do this, sing this, etc'. I suppose I'm in the strange situation of looking for some homeschool materials that will allow me continue what my kids have done the last 3 years in their montessori school which we loved (we moved).<br><br>
One of the big tenets of Montessori is observing the child, and I felt like this had a lot more direct instruction. It seemed more like the traditional "letter of the day" preschool.
