Hi everyone

This board seems SO great, I had to come on and see if there's any possible way for me to keep up with some of the posts. I check one other board out and am blown away by how much goes on here! I was up until 4AM reading posts the other night
:
My name's Marie, I'm a 22 y/o SAH(single)M to almost 5-month old Liam I've been using cloth since he was 2 weeks old. I would have LOVED for cloth to be the first thing to hug his little butt, except I was still looking for an apartment for us and washing would've been too difficult. I wish someone had warned me how addictive cloth was before I found out for myself!
Liam's stash is quite small and simple compared to most here but it works for us, and I swear I would buy him everything if I could... being single makes it almost impossible. I bought all his stash when I was pregnant and could still work, so I almost never get fluffy mail anymore.
Liam's stash right now consists of: 14 medium Cloud 9 Softies, 2 dozen premium IPF, 2 medium Prorap AIOs, 2 Wonderoos, and another brand-new Wonderoo that was sent off to the owner for repair and disappeared
He's got some BSWW and Stacinator covers, and I'm also awaiting a Kiwi Pie and Liz Cloth wool, some Kissaluvs, and more Stacinator. I really thought I knew all the good brands out there, but coming here, I have no idea what you all are talking about!!! What are MM, KSS, FLAGs, etc? And what is the exact definition of hyena? Some of you girls have some yummy dipes, it makes Liam's stash look boring!
Anyway, I've come here hoping to learn more, and talk all my dipe talk. I go crazy not being able to talk it anywhere else... I'm the only one I know IRL who does cloth! BUT, I just pushed a pregnant girl over to the cloth end of diapering, so give me a pat on the back for that!
I even convinced her to try her hardest at breastfeeding too. I'm so proud of myself! So, I hope to try and come here often. I don't have my own computer, but I have access to one almost every day; it's just finding time that matters!

Welcome!! The diapering board here is so awesome, this really is a great bunch of ladies. 4am! Now that's dedication.

My stash is kinda boring too compared to some but I'm working my way up and redoing my stash the way I like it.

KSS = Kool Sheep Soakers www.koolsheepsoakers.com
MM = Mosaic Moon www.mosaicmoon.net
FLAG = Fits Like A Glove www.righteousbaby.com

Hope that helps!

Thanks girls for all the welcomes, I really hope to be able to keep up here... somewhat!
Need I add that it's past 2AM already and yet again my poor DS has to sleep sprawled across my lap?
:

Christy - I checked out those websites and I cannot believe that someone would pay $90 for a wool soaker. Do people honestly stalk for these things? I would love to show that kind of stuff off on DS' butt, but there's no way I'd be able to do it... without a good graphics program lol They do look awesome though, and those FLAGS seem too good to be true. And what are the raves about Fireflies and Elbees?

Stevie and Amy - Thanks for the compliments towards my little guy; sometimes I don't believe that I could've created him. He's such a little blessing! I do, however, consider adopting him out until he cuts his first teeth
Honestly, how much longer do I have to go through this? lol

:LOL If I could get my hands on a KSS I'd pay $100 in a heartbeat. They are just too awesome, she puts so much work into those customs.
There are more reasonably priced soakers out there though.

Fireflies- Love these for my DD, an absolute perfect fit. But I don't like them for my DS, his legs are just too skinny for them.

El Bees- Well, you just have to see one in person to really understand. They are awesome for us! We have 2 right now and I am on a waiting list for a bakers dozen. The fit is just awesome, no other diaper fits my kids like this one. But boy are they hard to get.

Christy - IKWYM... if I could afford to buy him pretty wool, I wouldn't think twice. But even stalking those sites... I'd never have the time for it! I tried catching Tuesday Bear a few times and it was just impossible! I'd love to try some Fireflies and El Bees though, maybe I'll come across some used ones on eBay one day. I've got a large oatmeal cashmere Kiwi Pie WIO coming that Liam won't fit for ages, I wonder if I could find the heart to trade

Jesse - I'm in Labrador, so we're on opposite ends of the country. But I feel the single mama love

Christina - Hunter is quite the looker too if I might add

Hey Mama2Liam1 Welcome--I love it here! Your Liam is showing an early love for soft drinks, as is my DS! He's not getting Coke any time soon, but he loves to try!

Where are you in Canada? There seem to be lots of Canadians on MDC!
