Hello-this is a very interesting board! I'm from rural NY. We have been building our timberframe house mostly by ourselves for the last 4 years, which takes up a lot of our life. We also homeschool our kids. We (my husband and I) have a girl, 8 and a boy, 6. We're also expecting a girl end of sept.
We parent attachment style and the use of good ol' common sense, I breast-fed my kids and will this one. This is a challenge as I had a breast reduction 14 yrs ago, but I'm able to do it with some supplementing.
Our son is not circumcised and we've not had any problems with that.
We homeschool using unit studies and mostly child-led learning. We have a lot of fun with it.
We have several animals that run our lives. 3 horses, chickens, rabbits, 2 german shepherds, an attitudinal cat and a turtle. We also raise our own beef on a small scale. They live a good spoiled life with us, then we get hormone-free, antibiotic-free meat.
I love gardening, canning, reading, playing with our horses (can't ride right now while pregnant), learning with my kids, camping and spending lots of time with my husband.
