Hello! I've been lurking here for a while, and finally decided that I could post here despite my non-mama status. I'm Amy, an aspiring midwife and hoping to start my doula certification within the next year. I just attended my first birth, my sister who gave birth to my beautiful nephew, and it really cemented for me that this is what I want to do. I'm currently also a college student studying Community Health Education, and want to work with GLBTQ youth and women doing sexuality/reproductive education. My partner and I aren't really anywhere near the baby decision (or each other, actually... he's 4 hours away at school), although I'm starting to get a bit impatient! Looking forward to hangin' out with y'all and getting to know everybody!
Of course you're welcome here! You'll just have that much of a jump on your parenting when you do get pregnant!! Wish I would have been here when I was pregnant.
