Stumbled across an awesome new store in University Mall today. It's called Katie Beth's Learning Garden (I think I got that right). They've been open about 3 weeks now. The owner is a fellow MDC mama as well!

They have new and consigned toys and homeschooling resources. I found lots of things I have had to order online before- soy rock crayons, artemis plant based coloring pencils, stockmar products, wool felt by the sheet, colorful wool roving by the gram and kite paper by the sheet. They had lots of kids craft and game kits that would be awesome holiday gifts. They will also be offering classes in the store soon. And how great to have a friendly place to stop at UMall and drink tea, nurse my toddler and talk to other moms. What a great resource!

It's on a side hall on the Dillards end of the mall, across from the DMV and Alfredo's Pizza. The owners are wonderful, and the store has so much to offer (I actually got some Christmas presents there from their selection of historical toys and craft supplies).

They have a facebook page now. Like them and spread the word!

Apparently they're having a big, fun party this Saturday. Delicious food, and lots of fun activities for the kids.
