Less people starve in the US than in developing nations. Also the circumcision rates are much higher in the US! Surley there are no other factors at work here.

Unfortunatly this "Hunger blocking" effect also causes obesity. I asked 8 obese people and they were all circumcised, so it MUST be true.

So basically we should cut all of the men in africa and also send them a lifetime supply of Trimspa and then we can focus on something else.

Sorry, I am just so sick of the AIDS stories. I mean the Gates foundation has 30 billion dollars (Warren Buffet's Donation) but they dont even have common sense? WTF.

On a lighter note... I believe Circumcision DOES cause global warming...
1) Several generations are mutilated
2) Everyone buys bigger cars because they are insecure about their penis
3) Bigger cars cause a fuel crisis and polute more

If they had a foreskin wrapped around their penis to make them more secure and whole, maybe they wouldn't have to wrap a $50,000 Soccer Utility Vehicle around it.

There really isn't much more to it than this:
The foreskin has more langerhans cells than the glans and other skin. Langerhans cells allow the passage of HIV without an open wound. Plus many MD idiots think that intact sex will result in small tears in the foreskin (because they don't actually know what a penis really is). Also they think the Foreskin will somehow "trap" the virus and give it more time to penetrate to the bloodstream.

So there you go, this is the "medical" basis for their hypothisis. To a fourth grader (with a mutilated penis) maybe that sounds reasonable.

In our overly medical world someone suggested an "easy way out" surgery could fix an epidemic? Lets do it!

Ok Lets give them the benefit of the doubt (even though they are not right). Even if it DOES decrease your risk (not eliminate it) all you are doing is playing russian roluette with 1 bullet in the gun instead of 2 bullets. My fear is that this will make mutilated guys take even more risks... making the problem worse. "It's ok baby we don't need protection, I have been surgically modified to be "AIDS Proof""

With all their guesses and estimations you would think that someone, somewhere would have pointed that Europe (mainly intact) has a lower incidence of AIDS than the US (mainly circumcised). Who needs a study when you have real life to prove something!

I was just making fun of the AIDS study which ignored such factors as healing time, uncomfortable sex (after circumcision), loss of sex drive, social implications; All of which would impact the number of sexual partners and this has been a known way of lowering your chances for contracting HIV from the very begining... Less partners = less risk. Duh.

I completely agree with the basis of your argument, but are you trying to imply that American men like sex less or try to have sex less than, for instance, their European counterparts? It seems to me (and I don't correlate this with circ status) that American men are way more obsessed with trying to have sex with anything that walks. I mean I really don't know, haven't seen a study or anything I'm just going by what I see in the culture and on TV and by the European men I've dated versus the American ones. It seems like the American sex drive was way bigger. The appetite of American men much larger. My experience and opinion is soooo not scientific and I do think intact sex probably feels way better for guys (I know it feels way better for me to be with an intact guy!). So I don't doubt intact sex is better- it seems obvious since intact men are able to have sex with their whole penis versus the poor circed guy with a less than whole penis and all. But do Euros really have more sex? There must be a statistic for this (many, I'm sure), I am just not aware of it. But I guess I'm just saying I hardly think American men have lowered sex drives. I strongly believe they suffer more sexual problems especially later in life, but in general is their drive really decreased?

Oh and your enviornmental argument. Wonderful argument. I actually quite believe it true. Everyone knows the bigger the truck the more inadequate the penis (real or perceived). Bravo!!

I believe he's stating that men who were circumcised and had KNOWN what it was like to have sex while intact would be more aware of the differences and might be less interested in sex as a result - correlating to a decreased risk of contracting HIV due to a decreased sex drive along with the other reasons indicated in his argument. Keep in mind that we're not talking about routine infant circumcision here. We're talking about adult men who were circumcised.
