Welcome back to babyland, where much has changed and much remains the same
: A change worth getting, IMO: the little elastisized or zip-on fabric 'lids' for the infant 'bucket' carseats. When my 9 yo was born these weren't around, and they are great, esp. in New England weather. Makes for less bungle of snowsuit under the straps, acts as a raincoat, windbreaker, and sunscrean. Get yours today! (Did I miss my calling? Haha.)

All I can say is....wow!
That is quite an adventure you're embarking on! What a lucky baby you're adopting, to have such experienced parents and so many siblings and nieces/nephews to love him or her.

(And if it's a him, I hope you and his birth parents will leave him intact (i.e. uncircumcised) Check out our forum on the Case Against Circumcision if you need more info.)

Thanks everyone for making me feel welcome. I have been so busy at work this past week and a visit to the doc. I have also been spending a lot of time looking into my breastfeeding options of our new baby. I have already started the protocols and boy did I forget about the changes in the breast that occur..
.. I know we all say we "remember". Somehow now that statement does not serve appropriate justice.
. I Forgot all the fullness, achy, underarm "pit" pinches...to name a few... But when I add it all up..."PRICELESS" is what it totals.

Well... I have a bit of research to do. Again I say thank-you and I look forward to hearing form the group. Off for a nice cup of tea...
before I start my day.
