I have a changing table that I no longer use. I was planning on freecycling it, but as we are just about finished with the rehab of the playroom, I am needing some storage for it. I was thinking of using the changing table and lining it with bins or baskets....any other ideas??

I put mine in my front hallway closet. I keep the kids shoes on the shelves, less often used ones in the back. I put their backpacks on the top changing area so they can easily grab them and go. In the winter we put their winter coats right next to their backpacks. It works great and really helps keep the kids organized.

I'm planning to cut up mine in half (height-wise) and use it as a low play table. Since the edges are raised and corners rounded, I think it's perfect as a train table, but also my son likes to play with cornflour and that way I'm hoping it will keep contained somehow.

DS's changing table is an all-in-one - has the drawers for his clothes, etc., But there's now an empty space where his changing pad once was and I'm using this space to place toys that were on the ground, bins with toys & flashcards, large stuffed animals, etc., It seems to work out pretty well.

That's what I did with our old changing table. I have bins on the top for wooden blocks, legos, and matchbox cars. Larger trucks are lined up on the middle shelf, and the bottom shelf holds magnadoodles and a few random toys. It works great, and looks very organized.

Our changing table has been a dresser, a tool bench and storage, an entryway dresser (for shoes and hats and mittens), a toy storage, a microwave stand, and is now a television/laptop stand with pillow and blanket storage.
