There are a few of us with that date. I can't wait to see which one of us ends up actually delivering on that day and who goes first! I've never had a baby anywhere near their due date, first was 5 days late, twins were one week early, and the last was one week late so I really want this baby to be born on New Year's Day, it would be so cool, but I bake 'em long so I don't have great expectations.

The 1/1/11 thing hadn't even occurred to me until I saw you and a couple of others post it! I'm due the 8th, but I usually go a little early (except that one time I was 11 days late ), so it could be me! That would be pretty cool!

I'm just hoping this little one stays in at least that long, 'cause January 1 is the cut-off for school age here, so if I get a December babe, he/she would be the youngest in his/her class. I'd really like to avoid that.

I love the due date. Besides all the one-derful 1s, it is exciting not know what month or even what year lo would arrive. Though, Beverly, sounds a bit stressful in your situation.

ETA: 1/1/11 is my EDD too--just realized it's not in my sig.

Even though my due date is on the first I have ZERO expectations of delivering on that day. Both times I went over a week late.

I've never had an interesting edd before so having 1/1/11 is exciting! However, I know that my babies like to bake much longer than their edd so I'll probably will end up delivering around 1/15.

1/1/11 and 1/11/11 are pretty cool. I'm due around the 12th but I'm a 42-weeker so I'll probably end up with a 2/11 baby.

You reminded me of 1/11/11 so that's one to shoot for if I'm late (which I will be.) My twins were due on 4/17/4, so when 4/4/4 came around I was like "PLEASE, PLEASE!!!" That didn't happen though, they came on the 9th. ;-)

My ds was 8 days early, which if I repeat that I'll have a X-mas eve babe. Somehow I think this one will stay longer. I'll be very happy to welcome an new babe any day it arrives.

Interesting that so many of us have that nifty EDD.

new year's day wasn't my daughter's due date by a long shot, but that's when she was born. she was the first baby in the hospital. the extra attention was kind of fun . with that said, new year's eve might be nice too since it's still a "special day" and you still get the tax benefit

I am due 12/27, but my MW jokes with our history of holiday babies and late babies she hopes I have a 1/1/11 baby.

I'm also 1/1/11. I really hope the LO waits for the new year. DH doesn't have any vacation left this year!

FF puts my EDD at 12/31/10, but the dating u/s says 1/1/11. My OB is a nerd and said that 1/01/11 in base ten is 23, so kid is nicknamed 23 haha.

I've gone early with both of my other kids so a New Year's birthday isn't out of the question for me. However, my daughter's birthday is New Year's Eve so I would much prefer to go later!
