Hi Everyone,

Thinking about moving to NZ. What a beautiful place! I have a 6yr old son and I am concerned about NZ vax laws. Do they require forced vax for kids? Are any vax required for kids in NZ?
Does anyone have any suggestions for private schools in NZ and a great family area to live in?

Thanks for any suggestions!!

I'm actually in Australia, but both countries are similar in some ways. I don't have any info on good areas to live or good schools.

I imagine you'd have to be able secure a visa first and pass the medical (which they will ask about vaccination status). I know for us, to get permanent residency, it took about a year.

As far as I know, there is no compulsory vaccination in New Zealand and no plans to bring it in (unlike the way things are slowly moving in Australia).

You might want to read the Immunisation Handbook so you have an idea of what their schedule/program looks like.
