I am new to this forum so please forgive me if I have posted this question in the wrong spot.

My little girl turns 1 on January 31. I would like to have a small cake for her but I do not want anything with sugar, eggs or wheat.....Impossible???? Any suggestions or comments would be very much appreciated. Thank you very much.

I don't think it's impossible...applesauce can be a sub for both sugar and eggs, and you can buy alternative flours at the HFS. Probably a carrot cake. Raisins would add extra sweetness.

yes, it is possible, and even yummy!! I'll move this to the good eating forum, and in the meantime I'll look for that recipe...... I know it's around here somewhere.

My dd just turned one and we had an awesome carrot cake. It was a wheat and sugar free, vegan carrot cake and it was super delicious!! A friend of mine got it at a very yummy bakery, but there are great recipes out there. This cake was sweetened with lots of applesauce and it was very sweet!! We all enjoyed it!! Have a great birth-day!!!!
