I've been lurking around this forum for a few weeks now, and finally got registered with MDC, so thought I should introduce myself. Recently, I've realized that I'm being pulled in the direction of the birth professional. I've long been fascinated by everything birth related, but couldn't really formulate it all into a plan for my life until recently. My DH has been very supportive of my switching career paths, but we both recognize that a full switch (I'm currently a teacher) will be a few years down the road. In the meantime, I'm trying to sort through the millions of questions I've come up with since researching this topic, and am working on narrowing down some of my options. So bare with me - I'll probably have a million and one questions for those of you who have gone before me.

I hope you all don't mind me poking around and asking questions. : I've realized there's just so much to learn, and unlike when I went into education, I find myself drawn to everything related to birthing. I feel like a kid in a candy store...more! more! more!
