I was just reading the post of the mom who was worried about nurses retracting her non-circ'ed son after he was born when they checked his diaper or whatever.

Is this something that happens? I've read of dr.'s doing it at well baby visits, but I'd never thought about a nurse doing it to a newborn in hospital.. I'd hope they'd know better?

I never let my babies out of my sight. My husband and I were also the only ones to change his diapers. There's no way anyone would've had a chance to touch his penis after they yanked him out of my belly
:. We have a video of the nurses roughing him up, then they handed him to us and we never let go again. I bathed him when I could finally get up, I dressed and nursed him, and he slept in or near the bed with me.

nope. Anyway it's not so common in Canadian hospitals because more often than not it's an outpatient procedure due to Medicare not funding it anymore. So the nurses *HAVE* to know up here not to retract.

I know of one or two that was possibly retracted shortly after birth by nurses in the hospital from here. One did it while showing the parents how to clean under the foreskin
